The MMT admissions committee defines the requirements and contact hours* for successful completion of the courses as follows:

• regular attendance
• self-study and homework
• written exam
• home assignment (to be handed in via mail approx. one week after the course ends)

Contact Hours*: 40 contact/class hours*

* One contact/class hour comprises 45 minutes.

Certificate

Every student will receive an official certificate after the successful completion of all program requirements. The certificate will show the course name and contact hours as well as a notification that the course was passed with the attained grade.

Credit Transfer

The MMT admissions committee acknowledges the successful participation in this course as the equivalent of 6 ECTS in informatics. The credit earned in this course cannot be acknowledged for any other purpose than the MMT application.

Grading Scale

Grades are defined according to the general grading system of the LMU.

Please note: Extra credit is not available for this course.

Passing grades are 1,00 to 4,00

• 1,00 – 1,50 = very good (sehr gut)
• 1,51 – 2,50 = good (gut)
• 2,51 – 3,50 = satisfactory (befriedigend)
• 3,51 – 4,00 = sufficient (ausreichend)
• 4,00 deficient (mangelhaft)

Grading Procedure

There are two grading sections in this course:

• 50% = Written exam
• 50% = Home assignment
